Sinnowa Platelet Function Analyzer Selected as Recommended Testing Instrument for PATH-STROKE Multicenter Clinical Study

The grand launch of the PATH-STROKE multicenter clinical study — Sinnowa Aggrestar (PL) Platelet Function Analyzer selected as the recommended testing instrument

Thrombotic diseases are among the most serious threats to human health and life. Antiplatelet drugs (such as aspirin) are the cornerstone of thrombosis prevention and treatment. However, due to the widespread individual differences in responses to antiplatelet drugs, the current "one-size-fits-all" standardized application of these drugs often carries significant risks. Achieving precise antiplatelet therapy through platelet function testing and improving the level of thrombosis prevention and treatment has become a focus of global academic efforts.

To explore the role of platelet function testing in guiding and enhancing stroke prevention and treatment, the launch ceremony of the Multicenter Clinical Study on Precision Antiplatelet Therapy Guided by Platelet Aggregation Function in Cerebral Infarction (PATH-STROKE) was grandly held in Chengdu on May 21, 2023. The study is jointly led by Professor Yang Jie from Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences/Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital and Dr. Lin Yapeng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College, with support and guidance from international neurology expert Professor Craig Anderson. Distinguished experts including Academician Yang Zhenglin, Professor Tong Rongsheng, and Professor Zhang Tao attended the ceremony. This multicenter, prospective, randomized controlled clinical study plans to enroll over 3,600 patients. Its findings are expected to provide valuable data for precision antiplatelet therapy in ischemic stroke and offer new, high-quality evidence-based medical evidence to improve global cerebral infarction prevention and treatment.

Sinnowa Medical's Aggrestar (PL) Platelet Function Analyzer has been validated through over a decade of clinical applications in hundreds of institutions worldwide and dozens of key clinical studies. These studies confirm that the instrument's testing quality and the correlation between its results and thrombotic events are far superior to other instruments. Moreover, clinical treatments guided by this instrument have achieved remarkable success. Following rigorous evaluation, the PATH-STROKE research team designated the Aggrestar (PL) Platelet Function Analyzer as the recommended testing instrument for the project.

As clinical practice and research data accumulate, the Aggrestar (PL) Platelet Function Analyzer will make greater contributions to advancing global thrombotic disease prevention and treatment.
